Preserving Sonoma Impact Study Available Online
The Preserving Sonoma Committee has produced a comprehensive study on the many positive impacts of its Hotel Limitation Measure, now scheduled for the ballot on November 19th this fall. The study lists one dozen cities which have reached an 80% annual occupancy; demonstrates that when too many hotels rooms are added too quickly that TOT revenues decrease; that the city has ignored ways of dramatically increasing TOT revenues without building any new large hotels; connects limiting hotel growth with the newest regional plan by ABAG that is designed to protect our small-town character, and much more. Go to www.PreservingSonoma.com to read the entire 17-page study, complete with citations and references. Larry Barnett Chair, Preserving Sonoma Committee
