Relief Efforts for Typhoon Survivors in Sonoma Valley
Our family has set up our home as a drop-off center for relief goods which will be sent directly to Tacloban City, the hardest hit area by typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. A cousin of mine, Earl Viernes, is chief of surgery at Bethany Hospital in Tacloban City, and he will be the Philippine contact and conduit for the relief items which we will be sending.
What is most needed is food. If you would like to give donations-in-kind, may we please ask for rice, canned sardines, canned tuna and canned soup? These can be easily packed in boxes and shipped off.
Please bring the relief items to our home: 18496 Happy Lane, Sonoma. You may leave them at our doorstep. Should you need further information, or have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at dulceasilvi@gmail.com, or call us at (707) 933-8223.
