A Gallery of Sonoma: The Seder's at the Church?

Shir Shalom's annual community seder brings together friends, neighbors and, yes, church-members to celebrate religious history.

On Tuesday night, Congregation Shir Shalom hosted their annual "Community Seder," a regular event since the congregation's founding in 1996.

"A lot of people have their own family seders on the first night, but the community seder is just that - a chance for people to celebrate as a community," said Sy Lenz, a founding member of . "We're both pretty open congregations, in that pretty much anyone who walks through the door is welcome."

Indeed, the event, which celebrates the Jewish escape from slavery in Egypt, draws friends, neighbors, and yes, members of , who share facilities with Shir Shalom.
