Community Garden Meeting and Potluck Set for June 30

The three-years-in-the-making Community Garden will become a reality in July, but you can claim your plot at a June 30 informational and potluck lunch.

If you'd love to have a garden but lack the space, you can learn about the future at an informational meeting and potluck lunch on Saturday, June 30 at , on DeChene Ave. in Boyes Hot Springs.

The occasion will give community members the opportunity to visit the site, learn about the project, and sign up for a garden plot. Participants will learn how to rent an annual garden plot, what are the current volunteer needs, and garden sponsorship and support opportunities.

The Community Garden at Larson Park has been in progress for more than three years. It's a project of the Springs Community Garden Coalition, a collaborative of Sonoma County Regional Parks, Sonoma Ecology Center, Nuestra Voz, and St. Joseph's Health System. Thanks to recent support from the , the garden has moved from a community dream to a reality.
