Easter's On Its Way – Don't Miss These Egg Hunts

It's that time of year again — so mark your calendars for egg hunts and sweet treats!

Mark your calendars: Easter is almost here, so it's time for the Soroptomists of Sonoma Valley annual egg hunt. This year the hunt is set for Saturday, April 7, the day before Easter Sunday. Expect to see the filled with hidden treats, brightly dressed tots and perhaps a visit from the Easter bunny.

The hunting starts right at 10 a.m.; kids hunt for treats according to age group. And watch for special 'golden eggs' which are the ticket to super-sized Easter baskets.

If you don't feel like making the trek to the Plaza Saturday, Dunbar Elementary School, along with the Glen Ellen Fire District, hosts an egg hunt at 10 a.m. It's strictly 'bring your own basket' for kids to scoop up the most hidden eggs. Get into the Easter spirit Friday night; volunteers will gather at 3 p.m. to decorate over 120 eggs for the Saturday event. Decorators meet at the Glen Ellen Fire Station, 13445 Arnold Drive.

Now, what to do on Easter Sunday?  The hosts two Easter egg hunts day off – at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The festivities last all afternoon with visits form a clown, balllon artist and the bunny himself.

I am not a kid but when I watch the Easter Egg Hunts, I feel like a kid at heart. Will be having a smaller brunch and putting out goodies for my adult friends to find.
