Join Bouverie Preserve biologist Jeanne Wirka for a Backyard Naturalist Program titled Fabulous Fungi. Participants will learn about the critical role that fungi play in the ecosystem as well as basic identification techniques. The workshop will include a brief classroom discussion and a one-to-three mile hike to known mushroom spots at the Preserve to see specimens up close. Note: this is not a collecting class and no mushrooms will be harvested.
Dress appropriate in layers and wear hiking shoes or boots.
Bring water and a snack.
