Frugal Family Deals for March 9

Grocery steals, tires and tango! A plethora of deals with low prices and high quality.

Frugal Family, our weekly round-up of five great deals going on in Sonoma, is dedicated to finding deals that could help your family’s bottom line. Since we do the scouting for you, you can save time as well as money. Here are this week’s great deals:

  Buy four Michelin tires from a Big O dealer, such as the one at 19160 Sonoma Highway, submit a form and receive a $70 rebate. Good for passenger cars and light trucks. Good Through: March 10 through April 6.

Have a baby on the way or know someone who does? Buy $25 worth of  baby products (such as Huggies or Johnson’s, which are also on sale!) with a CVS card and get a free stroller. Good Through: Ends March 12.

GREAT GROCERY DEALS THIS WEEK has fresh Hawaiian pineapples ($1.99) (through March 14)Lucky has navel oranges (25 cents a pound), and corned beef brisket ($1.58 per pound) (through March 13);  potatoes, red or russet, (49 cents a pound, through March 14).

Looking for an inexpensive lunch? Try the Community Café’s Soup with Mac and Cheese and roast garlic focaccia for $5.95. Cafe is located at 875 West Napa Street. Ongoing.

FREE ARGENTINE TANGO DEMO AND LESSON Argentine dance expert Jurek Mazur of the Academia de Tango Argentino will give a short talk on the Tango, at the Sonoma Valley Library, Saturday March 12 at 2 p.m. A free demonstration and tango lesson follows.
