Get Real Estate Envy on the Cottage and Garden Tour

The Sonoma League for Historic Preservation takes gawkers behind the scenes for some magical homes and gardens next weekend.

 

Who hasn't wandered the streets of Sonoma and wished for a parted window, a garden view, or any way to see what some of the towns beautiful homes look like on the inside. 

Now's your chance for some real estate envy, during the Cottage and Garden tour, which offers a glimpse into private dwellings and gardens on Sunday, June 3.

Organized annually by the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, the self-guided walking tour lasts from noon to 4 p.m. Docents will be available to guide lost tourers and answer questions.

The roster of homes include the oldest adobe residence in Sonoma – with a garden designed by iconic landscaper Helen Van Pelt – a historic turn of the century mansion, a craftsman home, a contemporary jewel-box home built into a traditional neighborhood and a secret rural getaway.

Even better, the proceeds provide the bulk of revenue for the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, to help run and maintain historic properties such as , the and the . 

Tickets are currently on sale, for $40 per person, at The , and or online at www.sonomaleague.org.

Day of tickets can be purchased from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at impromptu 'will call' at 533 Second St. East, for $45.
