Get Out! Weekend Planner: March 31

Spring has finally sprung! Celebrate the season with wildflower walks, garage sales, a fashion show and a great roarin' 20s party.

MEGA GARAGE SALE AT THE GRANGE

The garage sale season begins. Find a fine assortment of items and crafts at the 's big garage sale this Friday and Saturday, April 1 and 2.  Homemade pies, coffee and other treats will be available for purchase. The sale runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at (18627 Sonoma Highway). Admission is free.

SPRING WILDFLOWER WALK

On eight consecutive Saturdays beginning April 2, the will lead a series of walks at the 162-acre Van Hoosear Wildflower Preserve.  The walks, which go from 10 a.m. until noon, take you through a profusion of 250 different varieties of wildflowers. Reservations are required by Friday, April 1. Call Elly Seelye at 996-0712 to save your place.

SPRING GARDEN BOUQUET WORKSHOP

Bring spring indoors. With daffodils, tulips, snowdrops and other spring flowers blooming, its the perfect time to learn how to create an extraordinary bouquet, and  celebrated floral designer Tasha Drengston can show you how. Drengston will teach a workshop style class at the (19996 Seventh St.) 10 a.m. till noon. Sonoma Ecology Center members, $20, non-members $25. Reserve by Friday April 1 by calling 996-0712 x110.

Brush up your Charleston, and get ready to attend the ’s fundraisers at Cline Cellars Saturday, April 2. The evening starts with a champagne reception at 5 p.m., followed by a sit-down dinner by Mamma Tanino’s Ristorante. Live music by JD &Co., a martini and cigar bar, a “Spend-easy” silent auction and a short live auction are all included in the $100 per person ticket. Click here to purchase tickets.

Catch the Runway Fashion Show where more than 30 artists display their original apparel designs created from throwaway items. Enjoy light snacks and wine as you watch the show in Andrews Hall. Gala Artist's Reception follows. At the , Saturday, April 2, 5 p.m. Admission is $25 per person.
