Play description: "We remember Jimmy Stewart as a man who has a rabbit for a friend. When Elwood P. Dowd starts to introduce his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Vera, has seen as much of his eccentric behavior as she can tolerate. Vera decides that it’s off to the funny farm for Elwood to spare them all future embarrassment, but Vera gets confused as the loony one and is committed instead of Elwood. As the doctors themselves come under Harvey’s spell, we see that this comedy is really about reality and who gets to define it."
