Sonoma-Marin Fair Wants Your Creations
The theme of the Petaluma-based fair this year is "Dog Days of Summer," a nod to the 25th anniversary of the Ugliest Dog contest. What will you show off at the fair?
Showing off your special skill at the fair is a longtime tradition in rural America.
Ranchers, young and old, would bring in their prize cows, goats and sheep, while the women competed with baking, preserves and sewing skills.

The Sonoma-Marin Fair held in nearby Petaluma is quickly approaching (June 19-23) and organizers are inviting the public to showcase their creations. Whether it’s hand-stitched quilts, produce, or digital photography, there is likely a category that fits your special talent.

Entries don’t have to be dog-specific, although there are numerous categories such as Best Dog Biscuit Basket Arrangement and the Sheep Dog Trials.
