Sonoma Patch's Guide to Kickstart Your Day: Dec 10

A cocktail party, a tour and art receptions

— conducts its traditional Holiday Home Tour today, with five distinctive Sonoma residences decked out for the holidays. The first tour starts at 10 a.m. followed by a buffet lunch at the Lodge at Sonoma. The tour includes a Christmas Boutique where ticket holders can browse and buy. If you were planning to attend, you'll have to beg or borrow a ticket from a friend. Tickets are currently sold out. Buy early next year.

—The hosts "MIX," a cocktail party beginning at 8 p.m. For $25 at the door, you receive one free drink, a year's membership to the Museum, a chance to see the exhibit and to hear the Easy Leaves play their "honky-tonk" music. If you are already a member, the event is free.

—The reception for its "December Invitational Show" runs from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. this evening. The Guild's fifteen invited artists display their work along with Guild regular members.  Handmade ornaments, plus art in different mediums—oils, metal, water color—will be on exhibit. The Arts Guild is localed at 140 East Napa Street. For more information call: 996-3115.

—Gain insight into today's financial problems, the "coming economic crisis"  and possible ways to avoid it, as attorney/author Ellen Brown discusses her latest book, Web of Debt, tonight at the . The lecture, sponsored by the Praxis Peace Insititute, takes place at 7:30 in room 110. Tickets are $15 each.

—Former born-and-raised Sonoman Elise Gonzalez exhibits the Himalayan photography of Rahul and Rohit Lal at 21491 Brundale Road tonight from 6 p.m - 8 p.m. The show continues over the weekend—noon until 8 p.m. each evening. For details call 938-3562 or send an email to: elise.noel1@gmail.com
