Sonoma Patch's Guide to New Year's Eve

Time to celebrate!

Editor's Warning: Reservations are strongly suggested if you plan to eat dinner out. Many places have only a few seats left.

— "Puttin' on the Glitz" serves up food, drink and a full night of fun this New Year's Eve at the . Put on your glitzy shoes (for her) and black tie (for him) and dance the night away to the music of "Pride and Joy." A few tickets remain at $250 ($180 of it is tax deductible) for this gala, benefiting the . The party begins at 7:30 with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Buy tickets online or by calling 938-1990.

— The fixed price dinner at the Caneros Bistro and Wine Bar is sold out, but you can still welcome the New Year with The Dana Land Quartet in the The $25 cover charge includes party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Show starts at 9 p.m.

— 121 East Spain Street, brings the Latin sounds of the Noche Tropical for dancing in the main dining room from 9:30 - 12:30 p.m.. The regular menu will be served until 10 p.m, the bar menu's  available until midnight. No cover.

— celebrates twice: first Irish New Year (from 3 - 5 p.m.) with the Celtic band, Greenhouse; then Murphy's brings on the Carrtunes from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. Champagne toasts at midnight. No cover charge.

—Liz Brown's Loose Shoes Trio plays at Hopmonk Tavern, 691 Broadway, starting at 9 p.m. Hopmonk will be serving their regular menu. No cover.

Sante's: 7 course New Year''s Eve Gala Dinner (Sonoma Mission Inn) $230 per person is sold out.

Big 3 is open from  7 a.m. until 9 p.m. serving their regular menu. Call 938-9000.
