Sonoma Winery Hosting 'Butterfly' Fundraising Ball

Fourth annual event will raise funds for children suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare but potentially deadly skin disease.

A Sonoma winery will host a fundraising ball next month in support of children suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare but potentially deadly skin disease.

The Fourth Annual Butterfly Ball will be held at the Larson Family Winery on Aug. 10 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Children suffering from Epidermolysis Bullosa have been called "butterfly children" because their skin is as fragile as a butterfly’s wing. The plight of children afflicted with this illness is highlighted in the 2003 HBO documentary, "My Flesh and Blood."
