Arts Guild's October Show Opens with Friday Reception

No matter your medium, the Arts Guild of Sonoma has something you'll like.

The Arts Guild of Sonoma (AGS) is presenting an exhibition of new work by Guild member artists, with a special Opening Reception this Friday, Oct. 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The exhibition opens tomorrow, October 3, and runs to October 22 at the AGS gallery on 140 East Napa Street in Sonoma.

The Friday evening reception will let visitors meet the artists and fellow art patrons, enjoy local wine and delicious nibbles and view some of the best art, jewelry, sculpture, and more that the Bay Area has to offer.

The Arts Guild of Sonoma, located right off the historic Sonoma Plaza, is a contemporary art gallery with changing monthly exhibits showcasing the work of local artists.

Opening Receptions are held on the first Friday of each month and exhibit pieces in acrylic, encaustic, oil and water color paintings, jewelry, mixed media work, ceramics, metal sculpture and more, including smaller objets d'art, prints and note cards.

The Guild was founded to exhibit and advance the creative efforts of local Bay Area artists.  Founded in 1977, the Guild has solidified its status as the oldest, continuously operating artists’ collective in the State of California.

The Arts Guild of Sonoma is wheelchair accessible and is located at 140 East Napa Street, Sonoma. Admission is free, gallery hours are Wednesday to Monday, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Visit the Gallery website at www.artsguildofsonoma.com.
