An evening with Tony Gibson

"Hailing from Sonoma, California, Tony Gibson is a singer-songwriter who creates introspective songs of love, hate, relationships, crime, redemption, politics and the human spirit. You cannot avoid this tapestry of brutal lyrical truth, accompanied by the infectious hooks and melodies in his music. Tony has spent the last two years making music on his own with an exponentially growing audience. In addition to his work as a singer-songwriter, Tony has spent the last year bouncing around Northern California in various other musical projects such as playing mandolin and singing backup vocals to Petaluma bluegrass cavaliers, The Timothy O'Neil Band, providing backup vocals to Sonoma's only Rocksteady/Reggae outfit, Dan Martin & The NomaRocksteady Band and playing a wide array of instruments and singing for The Gentlemen Soldiers, Sonoma's Irish/Folk Pogues-tribute project. His musical influences and inspriations go across the spectrum but are deeply rooted in folk, punk, rock and pop music. Tony is currently in the studio creating his long awaited debut record, sure to be filled with his intense energy, pop-laden hooks, sing-a-long choruses, and raw emotion, set for release in the Fall/Winter of 2012. In the meantime, you can find him playing around the county with the aforementioned projects or on his own or with his backing band. Regardless of what format you see him in, you can expect a fiery, passionate, honest, (at times) humorous, and overall captivating experience."
