SONOMA, CA.—Cornerstone Sonoma  will feature singer-songwriter and recording artist Chris von Sneidern in concert at the Keating Wines tasting room on Saturday, May 7 at 7 p.m.  Admission is $10.

The San Francisco-based performer has recorded 13 self-produced albums over the past years, generally releasing one new album each year.  Von Sneidern was the subject of the Academy Avenue Films documentary “Why Isn’t Chris von Sneidern Famous?”  The film was structured around six sit-down interviews that show the relationship and trust that gradually developed between the flattered but reluctant artist and the novice filmmaker.  The film was featured in numerous film festivals around the world.

He performs regularly in the Bay Area as well as in Europe and Japan.  Earlier this year he toured Spain in a tribute to UK band The Clash, recreating the “London Calling” album in its entirety to sell out crowds. Chris von Sneidern’s songs have been featured in a variety of television shows including “Line Of Fire” on ABC, “The Hills” on MTV and “Mercy” on NBC, quite a feat for an independent artist.  He has worked with artists such as Ryan Adams, Paula Cole, Jewel, John Wesley Harding and Neko Case.  His last visit to Cornerstone Sonoma was  completely sold out.

Cornerstone Sonoma has presented many music and cultural events in recent years including performances by Blame Sally, Megan Slankar & Jeff Campbell, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Brittany Stone, Rose Logue, Mister December and Amble, a wandering dance performance through the gardens at Cornerstone by Sarah Elgart.

Keating Wines is an extremely small production winery that makes conscious efforts to source the best possible fruit from appropriate appellations throughout Sonoma and Napa Counties.  Keating specializes in high end Bordeaux varietal wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah.

Cornerstone Sonoma is an internationally acclaimed garden destination that also includes art galleries, cutting edge design shops, two wine tasting rooms and the newly opened Alsina Station Grill, all set among acres of vineyards.

Keating Wines and Cornerstone Sonoma are located at 23570 Arnold Drive/Highway 121 in the Carneros region of Sonoma County.  For additional information about the show and about Cornerstone, please call 707/933-3010.
