Gen. Joseph Hooker House has new exhibit

A new exhibit at the General Joseph Hooker House focuses on the wine industry in the Sonoma Valley in the 19th century.  Included is a reproduction of a postcard of a padre plowing a vineyard, of Vallejo and of Haraszthy.  Also included will be photos of three Glen Ellen vineyards, including two operated by women.  The purpose is to show the beginning and early growth of the industry.  The hours that the house are open are:  Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and docents are in attendance to assist visitors.
