Join Film Makers for "Prom Night in Mississippi"

The public is invited to a screening of Prom Night in Mississippi and a Q&A after the film with director/producer Paul Saltzman and co-producer Patricia Aquino.

In 2008, Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman had offered to pay for the senior prom at Charleston High School in Mississippi under one condition: the prom had to be racially integrated. After the school board finally accepted, history was made.  This film follows the story of senior students at Charleston High, as they rally in preparation for the school’s first-ever integrated prom. This film will also feature a community discussion about prejudice and the Civil Rights Movement.
