Justo a mi Gusto: Music and Graphix Teen Workshop

Instructor: Juan Luna Avin. Create and share digital music compilations and design album cover art.After creating and sharing their playlists, each student will design and produce an album cover for one of their music compilations. Cover designs will be created using the traditional 12" x 12" LP format. Students review a selection of classic album cover designs and consider the importance of image and text, utilizing different techniques, including drawing, painting and collage. Stencils, stamps, and other lettering tools will also be introduced. Students will view and discuss Juan Luna Avin's installations in Sonido Pirata and show their finished work in the Sonido Pirata exhibition as a temporary component of Juan Luna Avin's installation, Sueño Sicodelico. Ages 12-18.
