MusicWorks!/Sonoma presents Celebrations of New Life!

MusicWorks!/Sonoma will present a sacred concert, Celebrations of New Life! on Sunday March 25th, 2012 beginning at 7:00pm in St. Francis Solano Church, and is inviting the church community to join them on a musical adventure of festive music sparkling with the rhythmic vitality and marvelous harmonic textures of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical eras, as well as powerful and dynamic musical statements of the 20th Century, as selected by Artistic Director, James Griewe. Featured works include selections from Vivaldi’s Gloria, Leonard Bernstein’s Mass, Alleluia For Our Time, as well as gospel pieces by Jester Hairston and Moses Hogan.  The 16 voice chamber choir will be accompanied by Christopher Alexander, also being joined by musical guest artist, John Simon. Soloists include Shannon Howlett, Denise Van Eschen-Rich, Dana Frank, and Sean Bush. Admission is free but free-will donations will be graciously accepted.
