Very interesting. Hats tell a lot about the people of the era – their taste, the material availability, the desire of ornamentation etc. I also love the history of hats and hat carriers. I love to study the difference in the manufacturing processes, or similarities, as some things have not changed despite great leaps in technology. It’s certainly a pity people are all about caps and visors now. Hats are actually very practical for keeping the sun away from the neck and face.
