Sonoma’s children consignment boutique owner, Allie Sterner of Sandbox, will be hosting her first children’s ceramic handprint event. Local artist, Lynea Daane, of Twinkle Toes Ceramics will be making clay impressions at Sandbox on Saturday, March 12th between 10am-1pm.
To make the keepsake ceramic prints, children’s hands and/or feet are gently pressed into non-toxic clay. This method allows the impression to be rich in detail and true to size. After the impression is made, it will be taken to the Twinkle Toes Ceramics design studio to be hand printed, dried, meticulously hand painted and fired. Due to several steps involved, the completed impression will be ready for pick up at Sandbox by May 7th, just in time for Mother’s Day or any other meaningful occasion. Price range ($25-$85).
The event will be held at Sandbox, 201 West Napa Street, Suite 8 in the Marketplace Shopping Center between 10am-1pm. RSVP to Lynea Daane of Twinkle Toes Ceramics by Friday March 11th (707) 280-0024 or e-mail twinkletoesceramics@gmail.com.
