Woman's Club exhibit featured at Joseph Hooker House

The Sonoma Valley Woman's Club, founded in 1901, has contributed to the cultural, educational and civic communities of Sonoma.  The club initiated and encouraged the beautification of the Plaza, founded the first public library, built a fountain and pond in the Plaza, pitched in to preserve the crumblng old Mission and were active in hundreds of other civic projects.  In honor of the Club, an exhibit of photographs will be available at the General Joseph Hooker house, from July 7 throughout the summer.

The General Joseph Hooker house will have a reception on July 7 at 1 p.m.  The General Joseph Hooker house is open on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with free admission.
