Friday:

The will host guest speakers Jean and Jo Miller at their  general meeting at 2 p.m. They will read letters, deeds and other paperwork that detail the life of the Schell family. It promises to be an interesting look into an old local Sonoma Valley family.  The Millers are officers of the historical society.

The Peresson Quartet, comprised of  Nigel Armstrong, Luanne Homzy, Min-Kyung Sung, and Julian Schwarz, perform in concert at the Jacuzzi Family Winery. The Peresson Quartet, formed in 2010 by four musicians from the Colburn School, made their debut in Sonoma last year and have played, with acclaim, throughout the United States and Canada.

If you go:  Tickets for adults are $35,  members are $25,  students are $10 andcabaret seating is $50.  To buy tickets click here.The concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Jacuzzi Family Winery, 24724 Arnold Drive/Highway 121, in Sonoma.

presents “Secondhand Rose” a spring fashion show in its historic clubhouse. A no-host wine bar will be followed by a noon luncheon. There will be a silent auction and a raffle with items donated by over thirty local businesses. Proceeds go toward scholarships for and local school libraries.  

If you go: The luncheon costs $30.00 and table of 8 or 10 may be reserved.  Reservations may be made by calling Joyce Murphy at 996-4538.  Seating is limited; reservations must be made by Friday, May 6th.  The event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the , 574 1st St E, in Sonoma.

Saturday:

You don’t have to know how to ride, or even dance, to enjoy this Hoedown party. Shine up your boots, fix the brim on your cowboy hat and head on over for some fine fiddling. Get your feet moving to square and line dancing then show off your fancy moves.  The party includes a Mexican-style dinner, margaritas, beer, and wine. A professional fiddler and caller promises to make it all sweet and easy. Come by yourself or grab a partner, all are welcome. Margaritas come out promptly at 6 p.m. dinner starts at 7 p.m. After dinner dance till the cows come home.
