Petaluma Craft Beer Festival to Feature Two Sonoma Brews

The Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival will benefit the river and other community projects.

Two Sonoma breweries will be featured when Petaluma hosts its first craft beer festival later this year.

The Petaluma River Craft Beer Festival will feature tastings from some of the area's top brewmasters along with food, wine and live entertainment.

The Sept. 14 festival will be held in downtown Petaluma from 1 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Petaluma River and community projects.

Sonoma's Carneros Brewing and Sonoma Springs Brewing will be among the festival's featured beer-makers, along with Petaluma's Henhouse Brewing Company,Petaluma HillsLagunitas101 North BrewingThree Uncles andDempsey's Brewery.

Novato's Baeltane BrewingMoylan's and Lucky Hand, Larkspur'sMarin Brewing Company, and Sebastopol's Woodfour will also be on hand.

The festival will feature musical performances by The Fossils, with special guest appearances by the Friday Night Jam Band, the Bohemian Highway and Petaluma Pete.

Food will be provided by Cardoza's Deli, the Petaluma Coffee & Tea Company and Diners All Done.

The festival is sponsored by the Petaluma Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Petaluma.

The $30 advanced admission includes a souvenir beer glass and 10 tickets that can be used for beer and food tastings. The same admission ticket will cost $40 on the day of the festival.

A $15 designated driver admission includes water and six food-tasting tickets.
