Friday:

Join GoLocal members and other interested folks for an evening of great conversation, networking, and  "localicious" drinks and  delicious appetizers by the Epicurean Connection. GoLocal programs concentrate the power of the “Local First” message and the GoLocal brand to accomplish more than any one business can do alone.  “Local First” is a call to action for the residents and businesses of Sonoma County to shift purchasing from non-local to local. Join Sonoma GoLocal members, supporters and the GoLocal team to learn more about GoLocal and discover how to make the shift to "Local First" happen in Sonoma Valley.

If you go: This free mixer is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hwy 12 Properties, 1061 Broadway in Sonoma.

The Santa Rosa based Midnight Sun Massive Reggae Band made their Sonoma debut at the July 4th All American Music Festival and now bring their joyful, island inspired, world beat sounds to on Hwy 12.  These longtime veterans of Northern California's Reggae scene will also serve up a fun and entertaining combination of Calypso, Soca, Reggae and Ska with a light touch of R&B.

If you go: The free music is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at s, 18133 Highway 12, in Sonoma.

 

Saturday:

Time to pull out your tie dye and get ready for a night of peace, love and great music! The 60’s are back for the 5th Annual Bell Bottom Bash created by Valley of the Mooneyhan Promotions as a fundraiser for Sonoma Relay for Life. Bring the family for some serious shakin’ and groovin’  to the tunes by Backtrax, known for their classic 60's and '70s sound and The Bubbas, a rock band from Reno known for their affection for an album’s B side. Additionally, there will be a pasta dinner with beer,wine and cocktails available for purchase. During the bash, enjoy the  auction, buy a raffle ticket and get ready to take home the cash prize for best dancer and best costume.  

If you go:  Dinner and dancing tickets are $25 while dancing tickets are $15.  Tickets are available at , , and in Sonoma. The bash is from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Sonoma Veterans Memorial Hall, 126 First Street West  in Sonoma.

 

Saturday:

The invites you to their native plant nursery workday. For the past 10 years the nursery has been propagating native plants for creek restoration. This workday is an opportunity to learn how to grow local native plants, and perform nursery maintenance and upkeep. July is the month of transplanting; learn the principles of transplanting small native plants because transplanting this month allows four or five months of growth before the winter planting season. 

If you go: This workday is from 9 a.m. to noon with all ages and skill levels welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited and RSVP is required. Contact Megan at 707-996-0712 x102 or megan@sonomaecologycenter.org to reserve your spot. Volunteers will be getting dirty, so please dress appropriately. Wear sturdy shoes, bring gloves, a snack and refillable water bottle. Meet at Sonoma Garden Park, 19996 7th St. E. in Sonoma.
