Traffic Jam Wins for Your Favorite Local Band

The band of Charter School and St. Francis students influences range from The Rolling Stones to Foo Fighters

 

Earlier this week we asked you to delve into Sonoma's local music scene and dig out your favorite act.

Turns out one group has a whole lot of fans: cornered the vote for favorite local band.

The precocious band – all members are in their early teens or pre-teens – has been gaining momentum in recent years. The group has traded early shows at the talent show for gigs at the Valley of the Moon Certified Farmers' Market and an opening slot for The Whiskey Thieves at Gran Fondo.

But don't assume the band is too youthful: the kids draw influences from more contemporary music (Mumford and Sons, Five for Fighting) as well as bands making their mark well before the band-members' births (The Rolling Stones, The Eagles.)
