Are you looking for something nearby to do this Fourth of July weekend? Check out some of the things on the Sonoma Calendar and see if there's something for you.

Friday:

Richard O'Brien's live sci-fi, rock-n-roll musical of the iconic musical "The Rocky Horror Show" directed by Cat Austin just opened at the . Check out this wonderful show and let’s do the time warp... again!

 If you go: Tickets for the show are $22 and can be bought by clicking here. The show continues on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays until June 30th.  Check the schedule for times. Due to safety and liability concerns, the audience will not be permitted to being their own props for audience participation.  Instead, a pre-approved prop bag will be available in the lobby for $6. The is at 276 E. Napa St. in Sonoma.

Saturday:

Come on over for Tunes on the Terrace featuring Third Party performing rock, blues and original tunes and classic rock songs. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful grounds at Kunde Estate Winery in Kenwood. You can also celebrate with your favorite pooch with a short hike, old fashioned barbecue, doggy portraits, wine tasting and more.

If you go: The cost for the doggy hike, barbecue and wine tasting is $35 with the hike starting at 9 a.m. Reservations are required.  For questions please contact Stephanie Franci at 707-282-1534. The awesome tunes begin at 11 a.m. and are free, no r.s.v.p. required. Kunde Winery is at 9825 Sonoma Hwy in Kenwood.

 

Sunday:

Enjoy cars, wine, music & great food at the B.R. Cohn Winery’s 3rd Annual Charity Classic Car Classic. Visitors will be wowed by the hand-picked collection of vintage cars from various eras on display. Donations will be accepted to help raise money to support Redwood Empire Food Bank of Santa Rosa.

If you go: This free event is from noon to 5 p.m. at the B. R. Cohn Winery,  15000 Sonoma Highway in Glen Ellen. For more information call (707) 938-4064 ext. 136.

 

Monday:

Sonoma's 4th of July parade is an old-fashioned, small-town celebration featuring marching bands, floats and more. Afterwards the Plaza will be abuzz with live music by the Joe Chaplain Band and Bautista Band, fun games and activities.  Hungry? Grab a hot dog and a slice of apple pie.  This year, the 301 Airlift Squadron will fly a C-17 directly over Sonoma Plaza. At dusk, head on over to Vallejo's Field, a block west of Sonoma Plaza on Spain Street for a spectacular firework display! Bring a picnic, flashlights, blankets, sweaters and take part in a great Sonoma tradition.

If you go: The booths open at 9 a.m. and the parade begins at 10 a.m. At dusk make your way over to Vallejo’s Field for the fireworks!

 

Monday:

The 5th Annual All American Music Festival, hosted by ’s and sponsored in part by Lagunitas Brewing Company and Kenwood Vineyards promises to be a great day of music and barbecued oysters. The four bands include Midnight Sun, Tudo Bem, The Hellhounds and Sean Carscadden Trio. Put on your best all American dancin’ shoes and make your way over at the alley.

If you go: This free festival is from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at , 4641st Street E in Sonoma.
