Friday:

John Fogerty, the man who wrote "Proud Mary," "Fortunate Son" and "Bad Moon Rising" became as well known for his troubles as he was for his music but something funny happened along the way; he found happiness. Along with his new perspective on life came some wonderful new music.Susan Tedeschi's knack for musical truth-telling has been apparent in the years since she first captured the public's musical imagination. Tedeschi's powerful voice, and fearless stage presence have made her one of the most stirring soul and blues musicians out touring today.  Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks is the youngest guitar player to make Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All-Time" list and recently took home the award for "Band of the Year" (for his work in The Derek Trucks Band) at the Blues Music Awards in Memphis. Tedeschi Trucks Band is set to tour the world and support their debut album, roadsongs.
If you go: Tedeschi Trucks Band opens at 6:30 p.m. (door open at 5 p.m.), and John Fogerty begins at 9 p.m. at the Field of Dreams, Main Festival Stage in Downtown Sonoma.  For tickets click here.

The inaugural sale is a cross between a flea market, garage-sale-meets-estate-sale, craft show and tailgate party all rolled into one big event with a few food trucks thrown in for good measure. The Car Boot Sale will feature local vendors and artisans offering an eclectic mix of vintage furniture, clothing, hand printed cards, pottery and more out of the trunks of their cars or their truck beds.  Additional goods expected to be on hand include hand-made clothing, linens, recycled Lego sets, horse gear and much more.
If you go: The Boot Sale is from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. and admission is free. Cornerstone Sonoma is  at 23570 Arnold Dr in Sonoma.  Additionally, there will be food trucks available as well as children’s activities provided by Nimbus Arts.
