Monday -

Sonoma's 53rd annual Memorial Day observance takes place at Veteran's Park this Monday. Veterans are invited to wear their military uniforms and join the grand march of the flags at ceremony's opening into the Veteran's Cemetery. Veterans who want to participate in the march should arrive early (no later than 10:30 a.m.) and find their flag in the parking lot. Local attorney Carl H. "Chip" Allen, a former U.S. Navy submarine officer will act as Master of Ceremonies; Romain Serman, the consul general of France will be the guest of honor and present French Legion of Honor medals to soldiers who fought with distinction in France during WWII.  After the ceremony there will be a free picnic lunch served at the .  
If you go: The ceremony and picnic are free to the community. Veteran’s Park is at 126 W.1st Street in Sonoma.

 Local Sonoma Valley musicians combine their unique and impressive talents in a beautiful concert presented today at 11:00 a.m.  Admission is free; donations are welcome.

Meet the 43 Sonoma Plein Air artists and see the art they created during their week in Sonoma Valley. There will be live music, hands-on classes for kids, demonstrations and more.
If you go: This free event begins at 10 a.m. at the Sonoma Plaza, Napa Street E. and First Street E. in Sonoma.

Saturday:

welcomes Burning Man Legend Zachary Coffin. Join Cornerstone for the unveiling of Rockspinner6 by Zachary Coffin. There will be a 3 p.m. unveiling and then a  reception to follow in/Sculpturesite and a  4 p.m. interview by gallery owner Brigitte MicMacker.
