Petaluma Target Readies for Opening

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday night.

In less than 48 hours, shoppers and curious visitors will pour into what today is a half empty East Washington Place Shopping Center for one of Petaluma's most eagerly anticipated retail store openings ever.

Petaluma's first Target Store will open its doors on Wednesday, four days ahead of its official July 27 grand opening, company officials said.

A ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at the store on Tuesday night.
