Burgers and Vine makes no secret of its menu, though its
décor remains a mystery.
Carlo Cavallo of Meritage Martini Oyster Bar in Sonoma is getting closer every day to opening his new establishment, Burger & Vine.
The restaurant has been in development but under wraps for quite some time, the windows papered over to prevent prying eyes. Now an article in this morning’s Santa Rosa Press Democrat (not available online) profiles Cavallo and his new project, to located in the old Creamery building across from the northeast corner of the Plaza.
According to the article by Diane Peterson, Cavallo has been test-driving his burger recipes at Meritage Martini for the past several weeks, usually on Wednesday night. If you want a to be part of the beta group drop by tonight – maybe it’ll be the Barcelona Burger with Romanesco sauce (nuts, garlic, peppers and tomato), or the Texas-influenced Codi Burger (named for business partner Codi Binkley) on ciabiatta with chipotle cheddar, or a surprise.
Fair warning: they’ll be collecting photos of customers with messy faces, from eating the juicy burgers, to post on Facebook.
Burger & Vine is set to open sometime this summer. To stay current with their plans, you might check out their Facebook page.
