Hospital Announces Community Tours Of Birth Center In February and March

Sonoma Valley Hospital has scheduled tours of its birth center to familiarize women with the benefits of delivering here in Sonoma. Tours of the Hospital’s Birthplace are planned for February 18 at 3:00 pm, and March 18 at 6:00 pm, and will be conducted in English and Spanish. Those interested should call 935-5301 to reserve a place.

“The recent discussion about the viability of our OB department raised the question, do most women in Sonoma realize what a wonderful resource we have in our community?” said Kelly Mather, SVH CEO. “Women who have delivered here tell us it’s exactly what they want in a Hospital birth center. We provide family-friendly private rooms with excellent, unrushed and personalized care. We want women to come in and see all that we have to offer and meet our outstanding OB team.”

At SVH’s Birthplace, mothers-to-be enjoy individual rooms with complete fetal monitoring services that allow Hospital staff to keep tabs on their baby moment-by-moment throughout the labor and delivery process. Highly trained obstetrical nurses are either in the room or just steps away, and specialist physicians are minutes away, 24 hours a day.
