Pulse Award Recipients (l to r): Kimberly Blattner, Ligia Booker, and Pam Gibson
The Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation’s 9th Annual Celebration of Women event will be held on May 22.  This celebration of the connection of women to one another and to the community also honors several of the community’s most outstanding women with a Pulse Award. This year’s recipients include Kimberly Blattner, Ligia Booker and Pam Gibson.

The Pulse Award is given each year by the Foundation to honor outstanding Sonoma Valley women who have made significant contributions to the community through their volunteerism, community involvement and philanthropy. These women are incredibly dedicated to Sonoma and our community is the benefactor.  Through these three women, a multitude of charities in our town have been strengthened – including La Luz, Kiwanis, Vintage House, Education Foundation, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, and the Sonoma Valley Hospital and Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation.

The Celebration of Women luncheon will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014, 11:30 a.m. at The Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort & Spa. Tickets for the event are $100.  Proceeds from the event will benefit women’s health and wellness programs at Sonoma Valley Hospital, including Project Pink which funds mammograms for uninsured women each May and October.

Registration and further information are available through the Sonoma Valley Hospital Foundation website  www.svhfoundation.com

“We are delighted to recognize these women who so passionately and generously give of themselves for the betterment of our community”, said Madolyn Agrimonti, Foundation Board Member and Event Committee Chair.  “As the famous quote says, ‘No man or woman, even of the humblest sort, can be strong, gentle, pure and good without the world being better for it, without someone being helped or comforted by the very existence of that goodness.’ These women personify these qualities and Sonoma is so lucky to have them.”

Online registration and event information is available at www.svhfoundation.com . For more information about making a donation in honor of any of the honorees, or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Kim Saylor at 707.935.5412 or ksaylor@svh.com.
