Sonoma Valley Hospital Offers Balance Classes For Seniors

Sonoma Valley Hospital’s Physical Therapy Department has announced a new series of classes designed to help seniors concerned about falling develop better balance and confidence as they go about their daily activities.

The program begins with a personal evaluation followed by seven sessions of appropriate therapeutic exercise to increase strength and balance. Instructors also will help participants set realistic goals for staying active and understand how to stay safe at home.

The program begins on June 2 and will be held every Monday and Friday, from 12 noon to 1:00 pm, for four weeks, at the Hospital’s Physical Therapy facility located at 19312 Sonoma Highway in Sonoma. Physical therapists Marek Grzybowski and Michael Francisco will lead the classes.
