SVH Receives More Recognition For Patient Safety Practices

Sonoma Valley Hospital has received an A Rating Hospital Safety Score, the highest available, from The Leapfrog Group, a national initiative to encourage greater health care safety, quality and affordability.

It is the second instance of national recognition for the Hospital’s safety practices recently, following last month’s announcement by Consumer Reports that SVH was ranked among the 15 safest hospitals in the country.

To achieve an A Rating, SVH had to rank highly in a broad range of outcome measures reflecting errors, accidents and injuries, all of which determine the level of patient safety, said Leslie Lovejoy, Chief Quality Officer. “We are deeply committed to the safety of our patients and it’s gratifying to receive further confirmation that our many efforts in this area are being recognized,” she said.
