Community Event: Sonoma Remembers 9/11

Starting at 6:30am Sunday, Sept. 11, the around-town memorial will remember 9/11 with song, speeches and BBQ beef.

Though the twin towers fell across the country on September 11, 2001, an entire nation stopped to watch the horrors of the terrorist attack play out in real-time.

On Sunday, September 11, Sonoma will again pause and reflect on the events of that day ten years ago, with a day of commemoration.

"[The day's] purpose is to observe, remember, contemplate and honor those who died that day," said organizer Ken Brown in an email.
