Sonoma Music Festival organizers will be presenting an energetic, fun filled, two evening- fundraiser, Friday April 19 and Sat April 20 at The Sebastiani Theater on the square in downtown Sonoma. This fundraiser for “The Sebastiani Theater Foundation” and “Pet’s Lifeline” will showcase both local and national talent while bringing the community together at this historic site. Tickets are available on line for $25 per event only at www.sonomamusicfestival.org and will include one national and two local headlining bands each evening from 6-11pm (door open at 5:30). Due to space limitation the shows are anticipated to sell out so buy tickets on line as soon as possible.

The Sonoma Music Festival is the brainchild of two vibrant Sonoma notables–
Roy Blumenfeld founding member of “ The Blues Project”(whose hit was
“Flute Thing) , co- founder of “Seatrain” and who toured with “The Electric Flag”. Joining Blumenfeld is co-producer Sonoma resident, Kurt Krauthamer , entrepeneur and member of the Rett Hamer Blues Band .Together the duo’s goals are to bring the community together in fundraising efforts while showcasing the best and most diverse local and national entertainers within each event.
Friday- April 19th show opens with Sonoma based Sean Carscadden Quartet whose musical mix ranges from Bluesy- New Orleans to Soul and Jazz . Next up,The Pine Needles whose exciting blend is known as Jam-Grass ( Bluegrassy - Old Timey Americana to the likes of David Grisman) .. Last up is the famed Tommy Thompson All Star Band performing their legendary Western Swing and Rock- A Billy music .
Sat- April 20th opens with local pop, funk, rock luminaries Frobeck, followed by the Bay Area’s best Reggae band – Creation, whose member’s include the co-founder of Jamaica ‘s legendary Soul Sydicate and whose members performed with Bob Marley. Rounding out the Sat night show will be local and national act- Big Brother and The Holding Company of 60’s, blues –rock fame and best known as Janis Joplin’s band.
