Valley Of The Moon Chamber Ensemble Christmas Concert

As the year winds to a close, the Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble is returning to the community center's Andrews Hall this December 16, for the annual Christmas Concert. Selections include pieces by Ola Gjielo, Eric Whitacre, William Byrd, John Rutter, JS Bach, Arvo Part, Herbert Howells, Morten Lauridsen, as well as other more traditional Christmas works.

The Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble began in 2006 when a group of talented singers gathered round the piano of Brian Sebastian for a private Christmas gathering. Since that time, the group has expanded significantly, including the addition of four new and very capable singers in the last year.

Singers include Sheila Whitney, Dr Brian Sebastian, Dr Suzannah Bozzone, Beth Carter, Kristen Armstrong, Charlene Virts, Jessica Short, Dr Jerome Smith, Doug MacPherson, the Rev Rob Jones, and Tim Marson The group is accompanied by John Burke and Monica McKey; the conductor is Dr. Brian Sebastian.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the renovation of Andrews Hall and this Concert will be the last Sonoma Community Center Event in Andrews Hall before renovation begins in January. Tickets for this event are on sale now at SVBO.org.
