Girl Talk

Female sexuality is the theme of the next educational event
for women offered as part of the Girl
Talk
discussion series on women’s health topics, jointly sponsored by
Sonoma Valley Hospital and Prima Medical Group/Sonoma.

Gynecologist Diwata Bose, M.D. will present guest speaker,
Heather Howard PhD, MPH, a board certified sexologist and mind-body health
facilitator, who will discuss “Female Sexuality: An Owner’s Manual.” Dr. Howard
will cover a range of topics that every woman needs to know, including sexual
anatomy, physiology, sexual function, and common challenges to sexual well
being. There will be time for questions and answers.

In addition to her private practice work, Dr. Howard is an
associate professor of clinical sexology at The Institute for Advanced Study of
Human Sexuality (IASHS); a clinical skills instructor for the Stanford School
of Medicine Obstetrics & Gynecology Department; and a gynecological
teaching associate with Project Prepare, through which she teaches medical
students and providers to provide sexual counseling and to perform comfortable
and effective breast and pelvic exams.
