Volunteer at Mission San Francisco Solano

Sonoma State Historic Park needs volunteer docents for Mission San Francisco Solano. The Mission, built in 1823, is the most northern of the twenty-one Franciscan Missions of Alta California, and the only one built under Mexican government rule.

Two full days of training is provided and will be held in Sonoma on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 21, 2013. After training a commitment of three hours a month is required. The training is sponsored by California State Parks in cooperation with Sonoma/Petaluma State Historic Parks Association.

To sign up for the training and become a docent, contact Supervising Ranger, Vincent Anibale at 938-9553 or vincent.anibale@parks.ca.gov.
