Does the city council or planning commission have any integrity?

It seems that the Sonoma political organizations are nothing more than a syndicate for wealthy merchants and developers.

The council seems largely concerned with trivial issues. Planning commission meetings seem to approve every discussion regarding Williams of Sonoma coming back.

Isn't it time we get some people against the box store mentality of the hospitality industry?

Is it not unhealthy to have a local economy entirely dependent on rot gut viticulture vultures eating the flesh of dead tourists?

 Can it be sustainable to encourage one system of community based economics which is favorable only to those who sell hospitality based products?

The limitations of such a system are truly denigrating to the people who have to work in it.

I find it appalling that the council and planning commission only defend the aesthetic of wine country but do little defend the oaks and water table.

So much for Sonoma. We must remember that history repeats itself. What will become of the town? Look no further than Boyes Springs...Once an oasis...now a run down shanty...
