This election is about how people feel about Sonoma. In gathering signatures we've literally spoken with thousands, and our experience is that most residents feel Sonoma is getting too hurried, too crowded, too noisy and they don't like it. They feel traffic is worse, it's harder to get across town, and that there is nothing they can do about it because their feelings don't matter. They don't want to be lectured, guilt-tripped or blamed because they don't have the time to sit through endless meetings. They just want a voice in the biggest policy decisions and they don't feel the "process in place" gives it to them. They feel this special election will restore their voice and that's why 20% of the registered voters signed our petition in just seven weeks.
