Measure B, Its David vs. Goliath, 1% vs 99%

Yes on B Campaign Budget Dwarfs Opponents
Yes on B Campaign Budget Dwarfs Opponents
The picture tells it all.  Measure B opponents are backed by out-of-town millionaire developers and other 1%'ers.  They can afford to spend big bucks on a big billboard.  The Yes on B side is backed by many local volunteers, just trying to keep the small town character we have here in Sonoma.  The Yes on B side can barely afford small yard signs. (Can you even see it in the bottom right of the picture?)

I just saw the documentary Inequity for All at our lovely Sebastiani Theatre.  In it, you see the 1%ers and their Fox News mouth pieces telling the middle class, "we know what it best for you", while continuing to increase their own wealth at the expense of the 99%.

Don't let out of town developers buy your vote.  Use your voice, vote Yes on Measure B to Stop Big Hotels and preserve our Plaza and town.

That HUGE sign is the perfect metaphor for Darius Anderson's HUGE hotel. He's about to be told Sonoma doesn't do huge !

So why hasn't the yes on B people made a bigger ruder sign? I mean some plywood and paint isn't too hard to get. I personally think we should make a large quilt sign... "The fabric of our community. Yes On B" They are using cheap emotional appeals. There is no reason the yes on B camp can't do the same. I don't understand why they don't. It's looking like measure B is going to get shot down.

Preserving Sonoma, Yes on B people, would rather fight a clean positive campaign. We feel that by not getting down in the mud, we can maintain our dignity and integrity. We can, and will, win with Measure B, because most voters agree with us, that sometimes the quality of life issues out-way unfettered development.

Amazing. Thanks Preserving Sonoma. Let's close this deal and run these guys out of town for good.
