Protect's Simpson-Why Cry Now?

We're gon-na make it af-ter a-alllll !
The political action committee Protect Sonoma's paid campaign coordinator, Nancy Simpson feels hurt that "Patch Bloggers" were mean to her by implying she was being called names, which is false. She seems to confuse being called on the carpet for her record and actions with name calling.

But why cry now? Is this just an ego driven white wash or has some event elicited this misdirection sleight of hand. Mr. Bolling does excel at that. Any Feed Store or Union Hotel news?

OK. And if memory serves, Nancy was angling for a paid gig sometime back with Ramekins/Darius. Undoubtedly, her zealous efforts and charm offensive led to the Protect Sonoma paid gig instead of the one  in the arena of food/wine. So to say, she "never worked for Darius before" is both a straw man argument  because nobody said she did but a lie because she sure tried and then finally succeeded.

So now apparently, it isn't sufficient to run and win a "win by any means necessary" below the the belt campaign where lies and distortions and almost incalculable soft money support from outside cronies. The Sonoma County Deputy Sheriffs and The Aquarium of the Bay, Darius' development, helped create a huge outspending imbalance versus Preserving Sonoma, which employed none of those distasteful but expected political maneuvers, and helped "Protect" thwart passage of Measure B. So why now is she crying? Isn't winning enough? Color me suspicious.

Now Nancy, with the help from her boss at "Protect", Darius Anderson's newspaper attempts to whitewash her election activities and engage in a little revisionist history. But the facts are what they are and can't be changed.

I read nothing at the Patch regarding her claims that did anything but point out the facts. She was selected because of her position on the Sonoma Society for Historical Preservation and she never stepped down from her county Sonoma Valley Landmarks Commissioner position although simultaneously accepting a paid position by a hotel developer. You think that is name-calling? If the shoe fits wear it.

So cry us a river, Nancy.

From hiring out of town union door knockers hanging door knob ads that repeated the lies of your lawn signs to the outrageously discourteous Nancy Maldonado who has yet to make good on on her "living wage" lie to David Bolling orchestrating a letter writing farce with the help of the developer's wife and their next door (FEED STORE) neighbor's (Montague-the initial letter writer) identity purposely hidden from readers even though Bill Hooper had gone on record that the "FEED STORE WAS NOT AVAILABLE", it shows a ton of chutzpah to come now for image reclamation while simultaneously claiming you were the victim of anything more than truth telling about your record.

We get it. As you were quoted, you needed the money. And believe me, you earned it but that is the show you rode heard on. Enjoy the 30 pieces of silver. Questioning Larry's motivations or finances is just another attempt to spread a misperception about Darius' baseball "let's have a catch" partner.
Saying Larry "already made his money" is a cheap attempt to paint him as some rich, power mad social mechanic. That party would have been the gentleman who was actually signing her checks, Mr. Anderson.

Nancy should be ashamed of herself. She now holds the title of social pariah.

Simpson was paid by Darius. She had the luxury to leave her wine business because PAC dollars propped her up.

So the truth is offensive to Simpson?
Ralph Hutchinson February 11, 2014 at 01:11 PM
Union Leader Maldonado cut deals with Darius before Graton Casino. How could we expect fair Living Wages. All just a stage act.
Ralph Hutchinson February 11, 2014 at 04:30 PM
Saying "Larry made his money" is more spin, he never derived W2 earnings like Simpson. He didn't have the conflict of interest Simpson did. More deceit using Darius Anderson's paper to spin.

Simpson was pitching employment deals to Darius regarding Ramekins well before the hotel initiative. To say she didn't work for him is misleading. She was trying.

Isn't there a cartoon somewhere here?

What about the exodus of historical people her peers? Are they still upset? Who is grinding her why did she have to get this off her chest now? Something with Plaza Union Hotel at BofA location?

Yes, but keep in mind her husband was a cross dresser. She didnt actually author the quote but I am sure she used it quite a bit.

Why did the I-T not publish the names of individual, +$100 contributors to both sides of the Measure B campaign? The data is available. Why the cover-up? What are they trying to hide and why?
Ralph Hutchinson February 19, 2014 at 06:49 PM
Rob, I hear you but really that might be a lot of names at a $100 threshold and even given my strained relationship with Bolling I likely wouldn't expect him to have that much type to set. BUT...Can you provide some of the top contributors and cull through the $100 list and grab important smaller donor names that juimp out and share with the readers here?

Both Protect Sonoma and Preserving Sonoma were required to complete California form 460 and submit to the City of Sonoma. Anyone can request copies from the City Clerk, Gay Johann, gjohann@sonomacity.org. You can also drop by city hall during normal business hours. There may be a nominal charge for when more than 10 pages are requested. There would be 3 or 4 filings for various dates before and after the election.
