The Sonoma Valley is home to a lot of kids, and a lot of dining establishments – but it's rare to find a restaurant that merges both sets of taste buds completely. : Many adult-centric restaurants will accommodate children readily, but a real kids menu – good luck.

So, is a real exception in town, and no doubt why our readers named to take the kids in Sonoma.

The family-run, locally founded chain offers one of the most flexible dining selections for kids. The boisterous (read, family friendly) downtown location offers eat-in or take-out options, including online ordering if you're particularly frazzled.

Once you're there, kids can choose from a real kids menu. The budget friendly options range from $3.50 to $7, and include classic youth-centric grub such as a 'Bambino Cheese Pizza' or 'Nonny's Pasta' – a choose your own adventure style pasta and sauce, topped off with garlic bread.

Families choose from the varied adult-friendly items. The menu boasts: "Each item is made to order and there are no heat lamps, frozen dough or canned sauces."

Been taking myself kids and now grandkids to Mary's. It's a family owned and the philosophy is felt whenever to go through their doors. When my away kids come home for a visit it wil always include a visit to MARY'S. Love the food and the people who serve you. Love Mary's Large Salad with Mary's own italian dressing and her Meatballs ummmmmmmm.
