Sonoma Patch-Aliases-UPDATE

UPDATE- Chris David has returned to the Sonoma Valley Patch. Remember this is the top-hatted limo driver of a thousand voices. Perhaps that is why he told us all he was a "concerned Sonoma stay at home Mom" came on the Patch to name call and engage in ad hominem attacks, just like dear old Mom.

He has not adding a thing to any debate. Chris now would like Patch Editors to kick off anyone who doesn't agree with him. It is noteworthy that Chris not only bragged about attending charity events with Darius at Ramekins he also was touted by the Press Democrat owned Petaluma (Chris's Home) Argus Courier.
So clearly, Chris has a dog in any fight Anderson is involved in. The Big Issue is now SDC. Hey Chris I'm curious why you removed all of your nasty posts only to return now? What have you been tasked with? Perhaps you and Anna can finally meet? Unless you are afraid of Blondes in big white Hummers. How about in Kenwood at the Gorin meeting Mr. "Stay at home Mom"?

First, whoever posts truthful, fact based comments ought to be above reproach no matter their PATCH ID.

Usually, the only ones who such comments bother are the targets or their acolytes.

Why do people post on Sonoma Valley Patch with made up IDs?

In looking across the Patch network I would say about half have a "user handle." This is an accepted practice on internet message boards and blogs universally.

I see a prominent Measure B proponent is now commenting on I-T stories with an internet handle, not their real name, and Bolling is allowing it but that doesn't mean he is known to anyone else who isn't an insider and knows he's blogged elsewhere under that moniker, does it? The average reader has no idea who he is.

Does that make him "Chicken-----?"

I don't think so.

Past threats and actions taken against certain local people are reason enough.

Let's look at the actions taken against a certain former Patch editor viewed as a threat by the power structure in town and felt threatened enough that she left town because her safety was at risk.

You don't believe her? I do and won't run that risk.

Let's look at Ralph's personal info like SS# and bank account numbers being made public along with other personal details of his life.

If others post under their actual name that is their personal choice. Those who attend meetings, and I have attended my share, now  do so at the risk of being added to the list of people "not helpful."

If you choose to be open about who you are you are secure enough that nobody can throw a monkey wrench into your life or you are feeding your ego or whatever.

Those that post under an alias simply want to post what they believe without fearing the above mentioned terrorism for their opinions.

They do however have either nefarious or good intentions. Shouldn't you decide by their statements and linked poof they use to back up their statements? I think so.

Lackey hack crumb catchers like Top-hatted actor limo drivers who live in their car barn in Petaluma certainly don't post with their names. One wonders why after their strident attacks on behalf of local developers who he knows would they remove all of their posts?

I've had discussions with former Patch editors and all agreed posting under a made up handle does not violate Patch Ts & Cs.

Have a meaningful day.

I think it's a fake name or truncated name he's not listed in phone book, voter registration or otherwise.

I think it's probably true that if real names were used on Internet postings and discussion boards, the commenting and discussions would be more fruitful, more productive and more civil. My parents taught me to own up to what you say or say nothing at all.

I hear you Tom but the evil machine here in Sonoma will trounce your reputation, attack relentlessly, post personal information online to intimidate and scare, and like former Patch Editor even threaten with surveillance, hacking and the like. That really doesn't create a forum for open and free speech if people are bullied in cyberspace.

Oh I forgot to say the other outlets will pull the plug to Facebook and comment sections on the online papers and ban you from posting anything if you speak out against the establishment and then no voice is nice for them because they eliminated the problem, the thorn in the side. Thats what they want to shut down the source of the truth that shines a light into their dark corners of mischief.

Ralph, it seems to me the attack goes both ways. I've seen absolutely vicious attacks on what you call "the evil machine". Absolutely vicious name calling and innuendo that has no place in any kind of public discourse. Your concerns fall on deaf ears here.

Provide some examples

You know Tom I can't help but notice you only use a first name so your not practicing what you preach and use your real name?? Don't you listen to your parents?
