Bicyclist Injured in Saturday Crash

Police investigating crash that sent a 68-year-old woman to the hospital

A 68-year-old woman was bicycling near the intersection of 1st and East Spain streets when she was struck by a Dodge pickup shortly before 10am Saturday.

The victim, a Corte Madera resident, was transported to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa with a head injury that has been reported to be non-life threatening. The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, which helped prevent further injury.

The cause of the collision hasn't been established and is still under investigation. Anyone witnessing the collision is requested to contact Deputy Eric Haufler at 707-996-3602.
