Fewer DUI Arrests over Memorial Day Weekend

DUI arrests were down in Sonoma County over the Memorial Day weekend compared to last year, the Avoid the 13 Sonoma County DUI Task Force said today.

There were 43 DUI arrests this year and 53 DUI arrests last year. No fatal DUI crashes were reported in either year.

The Avoid the 13 Task Force also issued seven DUI warrants over the weekend this year. The California Highway Patrol reported one DUI crash that injured two people Saturday and a crash that injured one person on Sunday.

Three people were injured in three DUI crashes over the Memorial Day weekend last year. The Avoid the 13 DUI Task Force includes all police agencies in the county
